We made a pitstop for a few days to do some birding in the estuary and explore the beautiful shell beach.

We had an excellent 2 night downwind sail to Bahia Santa Maria...except for the squid family that tried to hijack the boat.

We sailed ~80nm to San Benito Islands in search of fur and elephant seals. Instead we were invaded by squid!!!

After leaving Santa Barbara, we explored some of the Channel Islands off the coast of California, including Santa Cruz and Santa Catalina

After exploring San Francisco, we sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge on our way down the coast to Cojo Anchorage.

We made THE BIG LEFT down the west coast of the US toward Mexico. It was our first overnight sail and first multiway offshore passage!

We traveled down the Inside Passage of British Columbia back to the US in time for our scheduled boat haul out August 1st.

Our friend Nicole joins us in Auke Bay for a journey to Sitka and we have an epic humpback encounter.
